Ages 3 to 5
Younger children get a simpler home with three big pictures: Stories, Read and Stickers. Every button says its name out loud, so nothing needs reading to find the way.

My Pet
Each child adopts a puppy, kitten, bunny, wombat, platypus or dragon, names it and hatches it from an egg. Then it's theirs to look after.

Play together
When two Goldstars are close by, they find each other over Bluetooth. Friends meet in the Play Room, wave and cheer with emotes, then take a seat at the noughts and crosses or Connect Four table.

For grown-ups
Hold SELECT and START for three seconds, then enter your secret code. It starts as Up, Up, Down, Down, so change it on day one.
The Goldstar
Real buttons, a rounded grip and a bright screen that's easy to read. Have a look round.

These are computer renders to show the idea. The finished Goldstar may look different, including its colours, buttons, stickers and label.
Make it theirs
Every Goldstar has a name label on the back, so it always finds its way home from school. Inside, they'll name a pet, dress an avatar and unlock themes with the stars they earn.
